So I stumbled upon a sweet collection of skate videos on NinjaVideo today. I'll be honest, I don't know a whole lot about skate culture... but free vids are free vids, so enjoy!

How to Train Your Dragon

So I have a soft spot for computer animated movies. It all began with Pixar's Toy Story, and since then they have become commonplace in our theaters, and in our hearts.

How to Train Your Dragon is no exception. The tale of a viking boy, Hiccup, who befriends a dragon, is a superb example of the fine film-making of the folks at Dreamworks. Excellently animated, with likable characters and an endearing dragon, and even better story telling. This is a film that is a blast from start to finish.

I highly recommend this download. It's a DVD Screener, and the video quality is the best there is out there right now. The audio could be a little better, but this is definitely a great copy and more than watchable. If it isn't up to your standards, the DVD comes out next week!

Simply stunning.

Sometimes you're just at the right place at the right time. Astronauts aboard the International Space Station experienced just such a moment when they captured this captivating image of a rare aurora australis over the Southern Indian Ocean likely caused by a coronal mass ejection from the sun late last month.

Lo-fi done right.

Seabear, an Icelandic indie septet, has released their sophomore record, We Built a Fire, this past March. With its lo-fi feel, can't-help-but-sing-along choruses, and overall music tastiness, Seabear has truly crafted an amazing album from start to finish. There is no filler here, folks.

Rarely will a lo-fi band catch my attention as Seabear has, as I haven't stopped listening to this record for the last two months. Truly a record to listen to while walking downtown, sitting in your favorite park, or at that next rooftop party.

And, as always, if you like it, please support the musicians and BUY IT!

Morgan Freeman makes learning quantum physics easier... sort of.

There are few people in this world that when they speak, we all listen. We believe what they say, regardless if it seems irrational or beyond our understanding. Morgan Freeman is most certainly one of these people.

Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman is a fantastic new show on The Science Channel. Only two episodes into it's first season, and he makes every science show host before him sound like the annoying, nerdy, and general bore that they are (aside from the Mythbusters, respectfully).

So, go check out the new episode on Ninjavideo.net by clicking here.

NEW NEW NEW! The Roots - How I Got Over (2010)

The Roots are back, and better than ever. This record is hot. Too hot. Download this, and bump it all summer long. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Eminem - Recovery (Deluxe Edition)

Eminem's return to hip hop. It's a great record, and I'll be the first to say I had written him off a long time ago. His past few albums have been mediocre at best, and downright terrible at their worst. Recovery marks Eminem's return to the spotlight. So enjoy!

THE RUNAWAYS DVD Screener!

Okay, so I've never been a big Joan Jett fan... but this movie is pretty damn impressive. Surreal photography and outstanding acting by both Kristin Stewart and Dakota Fanning (in a much more adult role than you ever thought possible) make this movie worth the download. And as always, if you like it, go and buy it!

First photos of Seth Rogen as The Green Hornet!

I'll admit it, I'm rather curious to see how this movie turns out. It could be utterly fantastic, or a total bomb. Seth Rogen has yet to let me down, and the subject matter is intriguing, but it's in 3D. C'mon! Enough with the 3D movies. They usually end up gimmicky and ostentatious, let alone headache-inducing.

But then again, it's Seth Rogen... Could he possibly be even more hilarious in three dimensions?

Nantes, France: La Machine builds living derigible.

Photo: Jordi Bover

Wired.com has a great article on the company La Machine and it's latest creation, along with a few links to a few of their past mechanical monsters as well.

This is why art is hard, or at the very least, very tall. To create something so unique and mind blowing is an achievement all it's own. A perfect example of living art (note the plants on the top of the machine in what looks to be a hydroponic system).
